Fried House / How It Works

We got tired of
looking for people.

So we built a place where you can actually find them.

The problem

Fried House started with a pretty simple problem. We wanted to work with more creators, but as we started doing that, finding the right people became harder than actually knowing what we wanted to make.

The usual process was pretty straightforward: search Instagram, TikTok or X, look through profiles, check their work, find their contact information and send them a message. Then explain who we were, what we were working on and what we were looking for. It worked, but every new creator meant starting the same conversation from zero.

And the same thing was happening on the creator side. Brands would ask the same questions over and over again. Who are you? What do you make? What's your niche? Where can I see your work? How can I contact you? All of that information already existed somewhere, but it was scattered across different platforms.

The problem wasn't finding information. It was finding it efficiently.

So we thought, why not just make an index?

That's where CreatorDex came from.

If you've ever played Pokémon, you already understand the basic idea. The Pokédex is an index of Pokémon. You can look something up, see who they are, what they're about and where they fit. We wanted to bring that same idea to creators.

CreatorDex is a growing index of people making interesting things. Creators can join for free, create their own entry and add the information they want brands to know their niche, location, social links, contact information and anything else that helps explain who they are.

Instead of introducing yourself from scratch every time someone wants to know what you do, you have somewhere to point them.

A growing index of people you haven't discovered yet.

For creators

Joining CreatorDex is free. You create your profile, add your socials and tell brands a little about yourself. That's it. There's no need to build a completely new identity for the platform your existing work and presence on the internet are what make your profile useful.

When a brand posts an opportunity you're interested in, you can apply directly. You can also include a short pitch, which gives you a chance to actually explain why you're interested instead of just appearing as another name in a list.

If the brand likes what they see, they can contact you using the information you've provided. From there, the conversation happens directly between you and the brand.

For brands

Brands have the opposite problem. When you're trying to find creators, you don't necessarily want to spend hours jumping between different platforms trying to build a list of people who might be a good fit.

Fried House gives you a starting point. With access to CreatorDex, brands can discover creators, look through their profiles, see their niche and socials, and decide who they want to reach out to.

If you already know what you're looking for, you can also post an opportunity. Creators can apply with a short pitch, and you can review the people who are interested. If someone stands out, you contact them directly.

And then we get out of the way.

This is probably the most important part. Fried House is here to make the introduction, not to own the relationship.

We don't negotiate creator-brand deals, manage deliverables, process payments, hold money or take a percentage of what creators earn. Once a brand and creator connect, they handle the actual relationship themselves.

Think of Fried House as the place where the two sides find each other. What happens after that is up to them.

Find each other here. Figure out the rest together.

Why we're building it

As Fried House grows, we want to work with more creators. But manually finding people, opening profiles, sending DMs and explaining ourselves every single time isn't a great way to scale.

Creators shouldn't have to repeatedly explain who they are either. They should be able to build their presence once and have a place where brands can discover them.

That's the idea behind CreatorDex. It's not meant to replace the internet or become another social network. It's simply a better index of the people already making things on it.

We wanted a better way to find people.
So we built one.
